Animated components for Replit Agent

Replit Agent builds and publishes the app. Add a piece and the login, checkout or dashboard gets a bit of life.

Replit's docs list GitHub repos, Bolt and Lovable projects, and ZIP files up to 200 MB as things you can import. Agent also takes Skills, reusable instructions you attach to a message or install in a project. A PROMPT.md is written the same way. Source: Replit: import from a provider, Replit: Agent Skills.

How to add one with Replit Agent

  1. 1Drop the unzipped download into your Replit project's files.
  2. 2Tell Agent: follow PROMPT.md in that folder and put the piece on the page you name. It reads the file and does the copy, install and wiring.
  3. 3Check the result in Preview against the live preview on our site before you publish.

A dark mode switch in one file

Free pieces also ship as the qodesign-free npm package. Install it, then copy the file below.

npm i qodesign-free framer-motion

components/theme-switch.tsx

"use client";
import { useState } from "react";
import DayNightToggle from "qodesign-free/day-night-toggle";

export function ThemeSwitch() {
  const [night, setNight] = useState(false);

  return (
    <DayNightToggle
      width={120}
      night={night}
      label="Dark mode"
      onChange={(next) => {
        setNight(next);
        document.documentElement.classList.toggle("dark", next);
      }}
    />
  );
}

Pair it with Tailwind's class-based dark variant, or read the dark class in your own CSS.

Questions

My Replit app started in Bolt or Lovable. Do the pieces still fit?

Yes. They're React components, so they work in a Vite app and in Next.js.

Can I reuse the prompt in other projects?

Yes. PROMPT.md is plain text. Replit's docs describe Skills as reusable instructions you can install in a project, so you can keep the steps there if you add pieces often.

Is anything free?

Yes. Six pieces are free under the MIT licence and install with one shadcn command. The Day / Night toggle is also on the free code page.

Can I use them in a client project?

Yes. The licence covers personal, commercial and client projects. You can't resell the source code itself.
