qodesign Licence
Last updated 20 October 2026
This licence explains what you can do with code you get from qodesign: paid components, the All-Access Pack, components added through Updates, and free code. It is granted by Wisdom Sphere LLC, a Delaware limited liability company that runs qodesign ("we"). "Item" means the source code, styles, assets and documentation inside a download. "End product" means a website, web app, mobile app, software product or other project that uses an Item as one part of something larger.
There is one licence for every Item. You don't need to choose between personal and commercial: both are included.
1. What you can do
When you buy an Item (on its own or in the All-Access Pack), get it through an active Updates plan, or get it for free, we give you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to:
- use it in unlimited end products, personal or commercial;
- use it in projects for your clients, and hand the finished end product over to them (your clients don't need their own licence to use the end product);
- sell or charge for the end product, for example a SaaS, a client website or an app;
- modify it, combine it with other code, and change the design as much as you like;
- keep it in private repositories and share it with the people working with you on that end product.
No attribution is required. You don't have to mention qodesign anywhere.
2. What you can't do
- Resell or redistribute the source. You can't sell, give away, share or sublicense an Item, as it is or modified, on its own or bundled with other files.
- Build a competing product. You can't include an Item, or a modified version of it, in a component library, UI kit, design system you distribute, template, theme, starter kit, boilerplate, code snippet collection, or any product where the code itself is what the buyer gets. This applies on any marketplace (for example ThemeForest, Gumroad, Envato, 21st.dev, uiverse.io, Creative Market) and on your own site.
- Publish it publicly. You can't post an Item's source in a public GitHub/GitLab repository, gist, CodePen, CodeSandbox, StackBlitz, a tutorial or a video showing the full code, or anywhere people can copy it from. Compiled or bundled code that ships as part of a deployed end product is fine.
- Feed it to tools that hand it out again. You can't add Items to website builders, no-code tools, AI code generators, component registries or datasets used to train AI models, where other people could get the code. Using an AI coding assistant to edit an Item inside your own end product is fine.
- Claim it as yours. You can't say you are the original author of an Item, or sell it as your own design.
- Share your purchase. You can't share your download links, files or account with people who haven't bought a licence.
3. Who the licence covers
A licence covers the person who bought it. If you buy as a company, it covers that company and the employees and contractors who work with the code on its end products. Freelancers and agencies can use their licence for any number of client projects.
4. All-Access Pack and Updates
The All-Access Pack licenses every Item in the catalogue on the day you buy it, for good. Items released while your Updates plan is active are licensed to you for good too, even after the plan ends, and you can keep using them in existing and new end products. Items released after the plan ends are not licensed through it.
If a purchase is fully refunded or a payment dispute about it is lost, the licence for the Items that purchase gave you ends. For the All-Access Pack this includes the Items you got through Updates, because Updates only works together with the pack.
5. Free code
Free Items (for example code sent to you after commenting on one of our posts) are covered by this same licence. Free does not mean open source: the same "can't redistribute" rules apply.
6. Open-source parts
Our Items use open-source libraries such as React, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, GSAP or Three.js. Those libraries stay under their own licences (mostly MIT), and you install them from their official sources. This licence covers our code, not theirs.
7. No warranty beyond the law
Items are provided as described on their product page. Our obligations if an Item is faulty are in the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy, and your statutory rights as a consumer apply. We don't promise that an Item fits every project, framework version or browser not listed on its page.
8. Ending the licence
The licence for an Item ends if you get a refund for it or if a payment for it is reversed through a chargeback. It also ends if you seriously breach this licence (for example by reselling or publishing the source) and don't fix the breach within 14 days of our email. When it ends, you must stop using the Item in new work and delete your copies. End products you lawfully finished and delivered before the licence ended, while you were in good standing, can keep running.
9. Ownership
We, or our licensors, keep all rights in the Items. You get a licence to use them, not ownership. This licence is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, as set out in the Terms of Service.
